It is a great privilege and honour to invite you to the XVth Congress of Dacryology and Dry Eye, organized by ISD-DE and the Estonian Society of Ophthalmology.” From Congress Organiser and President Elect, Dr Kadi Palumaa

The congress will take place June 17–19, 2026, in Tallinn, Estonia, at the Alexela Concert Hall which in the heart of Tallinn, within walking distance of hotels and the historic Old Town.

A little about ISD-DE

Our Future Plans:

ISD-DE is growing, and there is a lot of work to do. Look out for announcements on this website over the next few months.  Register for the regular Society Newsletter. We will regularly post updates and news on this website. 

The Executive Committee are planning Education Webinars, canvassing for World Region Representatives, will be running a competition to Update the Society Logo, and are working to revise and modernise the Society by-laws and constitution dating back to 1982. Later we will apply to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). 

XVth Congress 17th – 19th June 2026, Tallinn, Estonia.

An important landmark feature of the Society is the biennial Congress.

The Abstract closing date is 1st December 2025.

Membership Fees

Please take up Membership of ISD-DE and benefit from the new reduced fees. Applications are by CV and references for review by the Membership Advisory Committee.

What is Dacryology?  

Dacryology is the Science of Tears. Dacryoloy is not just about watering eye surgery. It is about tears: production constituents, role, passage across the ocular surface, eyelid function lacrimal outflow passages, nasal space and mucosa, and beyond. We also advance research, clinical practice and surgery.

ISD-DE is a Society for Medical Professionals (M.D.) from the following Specialities:

• Ophthalmologists

• Oculoplastic, oculofacial, lacrimal and orbital surgeons

• Corneal and ocular surface 

• Otolaryngologists (ENT)

• Endocrinologists

• Oncologists

The XIVth Congress 29th – 31st May 2024, London

29th – 31st May 2024 we ran the XIVth Congress: the Update Course on the Wednesday 29th May and the Scientific Meeting 30th and 31st May. Thank you all who participated from the organisers.
